Sascha Bailey

Starting life in a small town in southern England called Tavistock, ever since Sascha was young, he has had an avid interest in art and sold his artwork at 11 years of age at the Frieze Art fair.

That was the moment he realised that an idea can have a monetary value. The works Sascha sold where his own manga drawings which his father, David Bailey, was shooting at the fair. Sascha decided to hang his works around the booth -  He sold out 3 hours!

As a teenager, weekends were spent doing work experience and cutting his teeth at Gagosian Gallery. After leaving school Sascha joined the team at the scream gallery before moving on to the Blain Southern.

Utilising his ever growing and unique industry knowledge, at the young age of 17, he started representing his first artist “Ollie Sylvester” and curated his inaugural exhibition at a private gallery in Mayfair.

Since then Sascha has made working with artists and developing their work his main ambition.

In the last year, he formed a company called ‘Quite Useless’. Their mission is to change the perception of art and move it away from the current state of vacuous art / McDonalds art.

To date Sascha has produced and curated 11 art exhibitions across a selection of the leading galleries throughout the world.

This year, for the first time, Sascha has began working closely with his father and have put together a David Bailey show tour of Asia, teaming up with high end supporters, starting with a show at Paul Smith, Tokyo Japan, in March 2017.

In addition to his work in the world or art, due to a high level of external interest, Sascha also works as a model. He has over 100 editorials and numerous international campaigns to his name.

Most recently, Sascha has fronted the AW Valentino campaign and also worked with the upcoming designer Joshua Kane on his summer campaign.
